Truth - I lived in Atlanta for 8.5 years, and not once did I have a thought about running (or cheering) for this race. If anything, I made sure that I was out of town or avoided downtown altogether. Now here I am registered and ready to run my first P'tree Road Race.
This 10K is the largest in the world and admits close to 60,000 participants through a lottery system. (Imagine my thoughts as I wondered if I wouldn't be one of the 60k.)

Happy Fourth of July |
Please believe me when I say that this is by far my favorite race to date. It was well organized, the volunteers were extremely helpful, and the cheer squads were ABSOLUTELY amazing. At one point, I saw people giving out ice cubes, beer, gatorade, and water gun mists. Although I really wish I was able to get a shot of the priest giving out blessings.
As usual, here are a few shots from the expo and race. Enjoy!
