Making memories and shopping lists: #myveganjourney 60 day Update!

Okay, let's start with the obvious: I need to go
shopping immediately.
 
Throughout my weight loss journey, leggings and dresses have been outfit staples. There are times, however, when I like to wear pants. This past Tuesday was one of those days. Judging by the looks of the photo to the left, I should've made another decision. lol.

So, this weekend two things will happen: 1.) I will be donating clothes and 2.) I will purchase jeans and a pair of slacks.


In other news, today marks my two month veganversary. This whole process is going by so quickly. I'm really trying to absorb as much information as I can and enjoy each moment.

Speaking of moments, I've experienced a few memorable ones over the past month:

1.) Normally before I dine at a restaurant, I go online to read their menu. On one occasion, I did not.
     Me: Hi. Could you tell me what your vegan options include?
     Server: Vegan? You can order the fish...
     Me: Well, actually, no meat, dairy, animal products or by-products.
     Server: So, you want to order the fish then...?
     
 
2.) Discovering Sprinkles Vegan Red Velvet Cupcakes and lemon plums. \o/


 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
3.) Knowing you are a memorable customer when..."You are on a morning run and pass by a former 'go-to' spot. Out of the blue an employee calls out "Hey! Where have you been? We have not seen you in quite sometime."

4.) Reading "Focus" by Leo Babauta.

5.) Cooking a vegan meal for my mom and cousin during my visit home. They loved it!
 
6.) Running a little over 27 miles in one week. First time doing so, and it won't be my last.   #INGClassof2013 #halfmarathonprep

Now, I told you about my gains. Let me tell you about the loss I've experienced. Weight loss that is.

My stats are below. Note: I'm still a tad bit confused re: the increase/decrease of my hip measurements. (I even asked my friend if she was measuring me correctly. lol) If anyone can provide advice, I'm all ears.

Well, there you have it! March has truly been a stellar month. I'm grateful to experience this journey and look forward to the next 30.

      Yes, it's true. Although I enjoy journaling my thoughts/happenings, I've just been low-key about having one. Not sure why though. lol.
