Looking back at my previous post about my first swim lesson, I laughed after reading the following:
Don't get me wrong -- I definitely enjoyed taking the swim class. (I even plan to do them again next year.) The drills & instructors were good. It was the 'deep end' and the 'breathing while turning my head' that gave me hell.
After work and on weekends, I'd head over to my gym to practice the techniques provided by my instructor, but somehow I still managed to inhale water. It became quite frustrating, and I decided to give it a rest. As for the deep end, I wish I didn't feel anxious about it. Maybe if I had my breathing under control then that would offset some anxiety that I had. Unfortunately sometime during the spring I stopped practicing. {Sigh} We'll see how it goes in 2013.

"Now to be quite honest with you -- I'm a fan of the water. I love being in the pool. However, I begin to feel some sort of way when my feet can't touch the bottom of the pool. I hope to overcome this fear during the next 8 weeks of lessons."This was quite funny because here I am ten months later and I STILL feel the same way.
